Film Caratteristics

Greenhouse effect

It’s the film’s ability to hold the heat inside the greenhouse. Higher is the greenhouse effect, better is the protection of the cultivations from low temperatures. The thermic films surely have a superior “greenhouse effect” than normal ones.

Total transmittance

It’s the film’s ability to let both visible solar radiations (PAR), responsible of the clorophillian photosyntesis, and long UV radiations (UV-A), necessary for the organoleptic features of products, enter the greenhouse.

Direct light

It’s the film’s ability to keep the solar light’s direction the same while entering the greenhouse.

Diffused light

It’s the film’s ability to diffuse the solar light in all directions with the same intensity after entering the greenhouse.

UV stabilization

It avoids the advanced degradation of the film due to the UV solar rays.

Anti-drip

This property facilitates the flowing of condensation drops towards the sides of the greenhouse, so that the solar light’s entry isn’t “blocked” by the water drops. This treatment has a limited lifetime period.

Mechanical resistance

It’s the film’s resistance to traction, impact and tearing.

Coextrusion

It’s the production process that “couples” two or more plastic layers. This increases the Mechanicalal, thermal and Opticalal properties of the final product by the use of materials with different technical features.
